Audits determine how successfully an organization’s policies, processes and procedures have been implemented and how the AS9100 series of standards and other applicable QMS requirements are met.
Audits are ‘evidence-based’ which is a rational method for reaching reliable and reproducible conclusions on the ‘state-of-health’ of the QMS based on relevant objective evidence.
Audits must be carried out by a competent auditor or an audit team. It is essential that all auditors fully understand the principles and requirements of the AS9100 series of standards.
AS9100 Internal Auditor – is an individual within the internal audit team who participate in the in-house audit processes. They can be engaged in one or more audit activities. Internal auditors must successfully complete a 2-day face-to-face course or a 16-hour e-Learning course.
TEC’s AS9100 (ASD) Internal Auditor Training Course is certified by Probitas Authentication
AS9100 Lead Auditor – has overall responsibility for an audit program and can facilitate hassle-free audit processes from planning, to reporting its results, through to evaluating corrective actions. Lead auditors must successfully complete a 5-day face-to-face course and pass a 2-hour written exam.
TEC’s AS9100 (ASD) Lead Auditor Course is jointly certified by the CQI/IRCA and the IAQG
In particular, AS9104/1:2022 (Table D.1 - D) and AS13100 mandates that auditors must be competent – trained and qualified as Aerospace Lead Auditors. The IAQG also mandate ‘baseline training’ for AAs and AEAs which involves passing a TPAB approved ASD Lead Auditor Course.
AS9100 Foundation (QMS) – essential training to understand the principles and requirements of the AS9100 series of standards.
Optimize your AQMS using OCAP & PBS/RP – understand the new 9104/1 ‘rules’ and ‘analyses’ used by CBs and learn how to deploy quality tools and methodologies to optimise the AQMS.
Auditing conformity, performance and effectiveness – augments auditor training for individuals who need to conduct effective conformity, performance and effectiveness audits. It can also serve as an essential bridging course for existing ISO 9001 Lead Auditors.
APQP Auditing & Layered Process Auditing – takes the auditing discipline into the APQP process and tools, and extends the audit down to the shop-floor and use of work instructions.
Remote auditing – for individuals who need to conduct effective remote audits (aka virtual audits) of quality management systems (QMS).
Effective corrective action for managers & process owners – for management teams who need to resolve NCRs (Nonconformity Reports) and CARs (Corrective Action Requests) in a timely and effective manner and understand how to monitor and ‘actively manage’ both QMS performance and process-level effectiveness (PEARs).
