Course overview

The UK MOD now, as a minimum, only place contracts with suppliers who can demonstrate that they have a QMS appropriate for the products or services being acquired – in many instances this requires a certified QMS!

Primary standards are expressed in the NATO AQAPs (AQAP-2110 or AQAP-2310) which add supplemental requirements to ISO 9001 or AS9100 respectively.

Whichever AQAP is invoked for a particular MoD/NATO contract, the supplier must demonstrate capability to deliver a product that conforms to contract requirements. This is achieved by submission of a ‘contract-specific’ Quality Plan, in accordance with AQAP 2105 and DEFCON 602A or DEFCON 602C whenever third-party ISO 9001 or AS9100 certification is demanded.

AQAP 2105 (NATO Requirements for Quality Plans)

This practical 2-day ‘face-to-face’ course takes learners through each of the AQAP-2105 requirements and provides explanations and implementation guidance along with and specimen contents of an effective Quality Plan.

Available as a public course or in-house at your premises – Enquire

The wider pre-contractual quality criteria are included along with advice on doing business with defence and how to access lucrative UK MoD contract opportunities.

This course is part of TEC’s comprehensive AQAP training program which includes over a dozen empowerment courses.
