Course overview

This AS9100 (ASD) Lead Auditor Course is unique – dual certified by the CQI-IRCA and the IAQG.

the first course in the world to be CQI-IRCA [A18173] and IAQG Certified [TCSS 001]

You will learn how to plan, conduct, report, follow-up, and close and ASD audit in the manner used by the Certification Bodies (CBs) – including the AS9104/1:2022 risk- and performance-based certification process.

NB: AS9104/1:2022 (Table D.1 - D) requires that auditors must have completed a TPAB approved ASD Lead Auditor course

TEC are a CQI-IRCA TP (Training Partner) and a UK-based IAQG TP (Training Provider) approved to run IAQG courses. Consequently, you will be learning how to audit using the AS9101:2022 (Rev G) and ISO/IEC 17021:2015 requirements as well as the ISO 19011:2018 guidance.

This course is applicable to the 2016 revisions of the AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 standards – which include ISO 9001:2015 and includes auditing consideration for climate change.

This is an CQI/IRCA-certified Training Course (Certification Number: A18173) which also meets in full the IAQG Syllabus Requirements (TCSS 001) for an {ASD} Lead Auditor Course and the IAQG Course Planning and Delivery Requirements (TCSS 005).

Course planning and delivery in full conformity with IAQG Course Planning and Delivery Requirements (TCSS 005)

The auditing methodology is identical to that used by the CBs which places equal emphasis on –

  • evaluating the effectiveness of QMS processes (PEARs), customer satisfaction and supplier performance

  • conformance with the stringent requirements of the AS9100:2016 series of standards and applicable customer, regulatory and statutory QMS requirements

  • exploiting the IAQG 9100 Auditor Guidance Material to augment audit questions

Delegates who successfully complete the course and pass the 2-hour written IRCA & IAQG examination (+90% pass rate) satisfy the formal training requirements of the IRCA schemes and the IAQG ‘baseline requirements’ for becoming an AA (Authenticated Auditor) as defined in 9104/3 –

  • AS9100 Aerospace Lead Auditors

  • AS9100 Aerospace Principal Auditors

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditors (if required)

The 5-day course is based on the principles of Accelerated Learning. It is highly interactive and makes use of scenarios and a Case Study. The course timings are –

  • Monday 08:00 - 17:00

  • Tuesday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00
