Supplier Development Programme

Programme overview

TEC's unique supply chain empowerment programme provides a combination of training and coaching to ensure that supplier organizations and their people become self-sufficient and capable of fully implementing and exploiting the AS9100:2016 series of standards, AS9145:2016 (APQP & PPAP) and other essential quality tools and techniques – for maximum benefit to their customer and themselves!

Customers usually host our programmes and may opt for a full programme or ‘pick-and-mix’ training course topics to suit their supply chain needs

The programme also offers an ideal opportunity for customers to work closely with, and further develop, their supply chains – providing a mutually beneficial and rewarding outcome for all parties. In conjunction with TEC, the 'host' customer may either choose to host the events their own site(s) or at TEC's prestigious corporate training venue. All levels and specialisms are catered for, and the programme can be customized as required. Group empowerment training is augmented by on-site mentoring for the suppliers involved – provided by TEC staff.

TEC can take care of all the administration on your behalf of the customer if required to ensure a smooth, hassle-free process.

You can pick and choose from any of the courses listed within the portfolio to form your bespoke supply chain programme.

TEC can also incorporate the following Lean Six Sigma and Team Leader/Manager programmes and training courses (click on the links for details):

Who should attend

The programme is aimed at all levels and specialisms in the company. In fact, any individual who will be involved in the design, development, implementation and operation of the AS9100:2016 series quality management system and AS9145:2016 (APQP & PPAP) deployment – and routine usage of the related tools and techniques.

Increasingly, the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) and the aerospace/defence Primes and Tier-1’s are promoting higher quality and delivery requirements, and ever increasing and demanding standards of sustained performance, by their supply chains. The launch of AS9100:2016 Rev D standard brings many new aspects into play, and is an example of the changing aerospace landscape. In particular, aerospace/defence APQP & PPAP (AS9145:2016). The aerospace supply chain is global, bringing many new competitors and opportunities.

The essential ‘people competencies’ in the core aerospace/defence tools will ensure that supplier companies will consistently perform at their best to survive and thrive in the global aerospace supply chain.

Because TEC are an IAQG Training Provider, a CQI & IRCA Approved Training Partner, an SC21 Strategic Partner, a global ASEQ Training Provider and an NMCL C+C Provider, consequently our training courses are recognised and accepted internationally.

A key element of the programme is to simplify procedures and actively manage the effectiveness and performance of supplier QMS processes which interact with the customer. For example, working with clients in the UK and USA hundreds of narrative procedures have been eliminated and replaced by 4 to 8 key processes, with each process visually mapped onto just four pages! This has resulted in a more efficient and streamlined business model and a user-friendly QMS - embracing the 'process approach' and APQP & PPAP.
