By the end of this interactive course and workshop participants will understand the nature and types of variation present in shop-floor gauges and be able to conduct MSA (measurement system analysis) studies on variable & attribute gauges and visual inspection (i.e. gauge R&R studies).
This course meets in full the requirements of AS13003 – Measurement Systems Analysis Requirements for the Aero Engine Supply Chain published by the AESQ (Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality) Strategy Group. TEC are an approved AESQ Training Provider, and this course has been formally approved by PROBITAS Authentication on behalf of the AESQ.
Assessment of learning is achieved through structured exercises and ‘hands-on’ workshops in which participants plan and undertake MSA studies. The tutors provide facilitation, feedback and advisement to ensure that AS13003 requirements and best practice is fully understood and used.
All participants attending the ‘public courses’ are requested to bring along 10 (ten) components, the relevant inspection gauge, and the specification of at least one characteristic (i.e. the nominal and upper/lower tolerances). This will ensure that all participants will have successfully undertaken at least one GR&R study during the course, and will be able to demonstrate competency.

Because students are requested to bring along 10 (ten) components, the relevant inspection gauge, and the specification of at least one characteristic (i.e. the nominal and upper/lower tolerances) their competency will be demonstrated during course, and they will return to their organizations with at least one GR&R study successfully completed and documented.
All students successfully completing the 2-day course will receive an individual training certificate containing ASEQ and TEC logos.
