This is not a conventional Regulatory Course!
TEC’s highly interactive course and workshop draws on over 20-years’ experience designing, documenting and implementing quality systems that are fully compliant with Part 21-G and AS9100 requirements.
The course is specifically designed to ‘remove the fear’ of aeronautical terminology and regulations by providing practical explanations supported by examples and illustrations. Particular consideration is given to the need of smaller organizations.
Only a basic understanding of the operation of a quality management system and awareness of either ISO 9001 or AS9100 is assumed.
Dr David Scrimshire (Senior Course Tutor) said: "By the end of the highly interactive course participants will have gained an in-depth knowledge of both regulatory and AS9100 requirements and be able to deploy effective implementation strategies to support successful attainment and maintenance of regulatory approval and third-party certification"
The key objectives of the 2-day course are to –
ensure that all of the aeronautical terminology is fully understood
explain the international legal environment – ICAO, EASA, FAA and MAA
ensure a practical understanding of the hierarchy, structure and requirements of the EU ‘Basic regulation’ (2018/1139) and ‘Implementing rules’ (748/2012)
explain how to access and use the AMC, GM and new EASA eRules documents
provide explanations of TC, CS, TSDA and ETSO and their relevance to production organizations
give details of PO eligibility, POA, Scope of work and DO coordination
deliver interactive sessions to explain the aligned quality system requirements of 21 G and AS9100
identify all ‘gaps in compliance’ and itemize required actions
explain the requirements for POE, provide detailed compliance checklists and specimen contents of a successful Exposition
outline the POA requirements, application process and completion of EASA Form 50
The course also covers the requirements for the Accountable Manager, QA function, Quality Manager, Certifying staff, Nominated personnel (Responsible managers) and Deputies.
