Program overview
The AS9110:2016 Implementation Program provides everything necessary to design, document and implement a practical AS9110 QMS (quality management system) with the aim of achieving third-party certification in the shortest possible timeframe - guaranteed in writing! The program is applicable to all organizations offering maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the aviation industry - including organizations holding an MRO regulatory approval (EASA 145 and FAA 145).
TEC consultants work on-site with your personnel throughout development and implementation and we only consider the program complete after successful third-party certification!
Program details
Each program is customised to suit particular requirements, for example:
Starting from scratch where there is no existing third-party certification but the organization holds an MRO regulatory approval (EASA 145 and FAA145)
Starting from scratch where there is no existing third-party certification and the organization does NOT hold a regulatory approval
Upgrading from a basic ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification
Modernizing an existing AS9110 QMS certification
Upgrading an existing 'process-based' system to exploit all of the new requirements
Working with your team, TEC use high level visual aids to explain your QMS processes, simplify procedures and actively manage effectiveness and performance. For example, working with clients in the UK and USA hundreds of narrative procedures have been eliminated and replaced by 4 to 8 key processes - with each process visually mapped onto just four pages! This has resulted in a more efficient and streamlined business model and a user-friendly QMS.
The AS9110:2016 Implementation Program is delivered in three phases to a timescale individually agreed with the client. Each phase has tangible ‘deliverables’ – with third-party certification being the deliverable of Phase-3!
If required we can also provide the necessary support required for attaining an MRO regulatory approval (e.g. EASA or FAA Pt 145)
TEC work on a fixed price contract with no extras - payments are aligned with the program phases. The program deliverables are guaranteed in writing from the start.
Program benefits
Many customers and operators are now requiring their suppliers to have AS9110 certification as well as the mandatory MRO regulatory approval (EASA 145 and FAA145).
The QMS documentation must practical, visual and useable by the maintenance and repair personnel concerned. It must add value to the business, represent ‘best practice’, embody ‘just culture’, 'human factors' and focus on performance as well as conformity to requirements.
The systems designed and implemented by TEC for our clients deliver all of these benefits. Because your personnel are involved every step of the way they will have ‘ownership’ of the QMS processes making day-to-day operational success ‘custom-and-practice’.
Your QMS will also focus on customer priorities such as quality, delivery and responsiveness performance and ensure that your processes are monitored for continuing effectiveness to boost profits and eliminate problems as soon as they are detected. Risk-based thinking, the Process approach, the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and Just Culture are considered to be the core concepts involved.
During the implementation phase, TEC will assess the competency of your personnel and then provide QMS-related training and coaching as required to ensure that they can accomplish their jobs in a correct and consistent manner.
